As a young Witness volunteer you'll provide information and advice to children and young people who have to give evidence at court - as well as their family and friends. You'll support these young witnesses before, during and after the trial, working alongside social workers and other trained employees.
As a Young Witness volunteer, you'll be provided with all the training and support you need to play your part, which includes:
- 8 days of initial training
- 2 refresher training days per year
- ongoing supervision
- group volunteer meetings
What we're looking for, people who are:

passionate about helping young people and children

can communite and engage with children, their families and professionals

good at building relationships

keep calm and reassuring in stressful situations

cope with distressing information appropriately

have at least one year's experience working with children or in a caring, supportive environment
